This is a quality rug pad and is more substantial than the mini square ones they sell in every retail store. It has more cushion and holds the rug in place much, much better than any others I have ever used. The only thing I didn't care for was the off-gassing when you open the package. I let it air out for a couple of days before I placed the rug on it. I own 2 of these pads, one under a cotton dhurrie rug and the other under a cut pile. Both are comfortable to walk on and never peel out of place. I have a third rug with a less expensive pad (the mini squares) and the rug doesn't keep well around the edges.

I do not know how anyone could take this out of the bag and use it immediately. It is stamped made in China and the fumes it throws off once taking it out of the bag were so bad that we had to immediately put it out on the deck to see if we could air it out. After 2 full weeks the smell finally diminished to the point where thought it was tolerable, but once we put it down under our persian rug we could immediately smell the fumes again once coming back home. We attempted to return it to Amazon but they said we missed our return window so this is going into the trash and immediately to the outside trash can. Honestly I will never buy another rug pad online. Seriously there is no way this product could be used safely inside a house in the USA or China.

This is a wonderful rug pad. It has made a dramatic difference in the way our rug feels under our feet. Also it was simple to flatten out the fold lines and lay it flat under our rug.
