Must Have! Mar 24, 2012
By poodlediva The picture doesn't show how nice this rug is! Colors are rich and textures wonderful. I have this in my dining room in front of a round glass table and chairs . . . didn't want to put it under and miss the great pattern! Price and quality were both exceptional!
Great at first, but then... Apr 10, 2013
By Can we build it? Yes we can! We bought four of these rugs, two in black and white and two in blue and brown. First the good: The quality of the base carpet (not the pattern) is excellent. Thick and plush, making it look like a very high quality carpet. The pattern is made of ribbons, which have a beautiful sheen to them (yet have issues, read on). It looks like a high end designer rug -- at first. Now the not so good: The pattern that you see (white on the black rug and brown on the blue rug) is made of ribbons that (a) are not knotted and (b) fray. This means that even the lightest of vacuuming either (a) pulls the ribbons fully or partially out of the rug and/or (b) frays the ribbon, leaving fuzzy strings 1"-3" in length on ribbons in various places, making the pattern and the rug look far cheaper than it really is. I've tried vacuuming on different settings, using a hand-held rather than a floor model, vacuuming only the plush and not the ribbon, etc. but at some point the pattern has to be vacuumed, and no matter how it's done, the ribboned pattern pulls out and/or frays. I simply pull that ribbon out of the rug (there is no way to fix it once it has frayed) and it looks new again. However, over time my rugs will be devoid of pattern, which is the reason I bought them. I would buy Safavieh again, but neither this pattern nor a rug that had a similar potential issue.

I bought this to go under my kitchen nook round table. The table is 54", and the rug looks great with the dark wood table. I do wish it was a tad bigger, but my nook is not very large. It vacuums up pretty fast too! The "bursts" are longer than the blue wool, but it looks really cool! I also saw it for a little cheaper on Overstock, so I wish I checked around on prices.
this rug is wonderful Feb 11, 2013
By Kicker I can't believe how beautiful this rug is! It is so thick a pile that it could be Aubusson. It looks better than in the picture.

By Jennifer Haney I got this rug and really love the colors and quality. Thick and luxurious. And quite inexpensive. I would recommend this
