I have looked for a Sisal type rug for my hardwood floors, as seen in so many Southern Living homes. I considered refurbishing the floors, but after having tried that on three rooms, I decided refinishing floors isn't for me. This rug is beautiful, appears very durable, has a rubber backing and is so big (9x12) only a nice size "border" of my hardwood floors shows. This rug looks so nice, I am buying a second rug for my adjacent dining room. I don't usually complete reviews, but I find myself appreciating reviews that others have written as I try to make my purchase decisions, so here you go!

The rug is a rich chocolate brown. The Sisal added a really nice texture to the room. Our home is post and beam so the natural fiber fit in really well. My husband had to warm up to it because he's used to the more plush area rug. I love it.

As long as one remembers that the texture of sisal is not like nylon or wool, this rug is fantastic.I purchased it for my photo studio where I need something I can pick up or put down quickly depending on what type of floor look I want. This stays down most of the time because it is attractive without being a distraction in whatever types of images I am taking.

We haven't had the rug long enough to rate it accurately but like the appearance and apparent ease to clean.

For the price I expected it to at least be cut straight...not crooked at the ends like it was. I returned it!
